Vocabulary for Describing Pet Care and Training

Objectives:
• Students will be able to identify key vocabulary terms related to pet care and training
• Students will be able to use the words accurately in context

Materials:
• Word list
• Examples of sentences using words on the list

Procedure:

1. Introduce the lesson by discussing the importance of having a pet, and how one can properly care for and train their pet.
2. Present words related to pet care and training, one at a time.
   • Explain the meaning of the word, using definitions and examples
   • Have the students repeat the word after you
3. Lead a discussion about the words, using examples of sentences that include the words
4. Ask the students to come up with their own sentences
5. Assign a writing exercise in which they create a story using several of the words
6. Go over the answers

Conclusion:
• Summarize the lesson and review the key vocabulary words
