Vocabulary for Describing Goals and Objectives

Objective: Students will be able to determine, recognize and use the correct words when describing goals and objectives.

I. Introduction (5 minutes)
A. Introduction to the lesson:

  1. Explain to the students that this lesson will focus on vocabulary for describing goals and objectives.
  2. Explain what goals and objectives are and why they are important.
  3. Point out the importance of using the correct words to describe goals and objectives and emphasize that this lesson will help them do so.

B. Introduction to Vocabulary:

  1. Introduce the list of words that will be covered in the lesson and explain how they are related to goals and objectives.

II. Practice (15 minutes)
A. Pair Activity:

  1. Divide the students into pairs and have each pair review the list of words and their definitions.
  2. Ask the students to create a sentence using one of the words.
  3. Have each pair present their sentence to the class and have the class provide feedback.

B. Group Activity:

  1. Divide the class into groups of four and provide each group with handouts that have sentences missing key goals and objectives words.
  2. Have the groups fill in the missing words.
  3. After the groups have finished, have each group present their sentences to the class and have the class provide feedback.

III. Review (5 minutes)
A. Recap:

  1. Recap the key words and their definitions from the lesson.
  2. Ask students for any questions or for examples of goals and objectives using the vocabulary.

B. Closing:

  1. Summarize the lesson by emphasizing the importance of using the correct words when describing goals and objectives.
