Simple present tense

Objective: By the end of the lesson, the student will have a basic understanding of the simple present tense.

I. Introduction (5 minutes)
A. Explain to student what the present tense is and its purpose.
B. Ask student to provide examples of sentences in the present tense (e.g. She watches TV).

II. Definition (5 minutes)
A. Provide student with the definition of the present tense.
B. Ask student to provide additional examples to illustrate their understanding.

III. Verb Forms (10 minutes)
A. Explain to student the different verb forms in the present tense.
B. Ask student to create sentences using these verb forms.

IV. Usage (15 minutes)
A. Explain to student how to use the present tense in different contexts.
B. Have student provide examples of sentences using the present tense in the different contexts.

V. Practice (20 minutes)
A. Provide student with a series of questions in the present tense.
B. Have student answer the questions.

VI. Summary (5 minutes)
A. Have student summarize what they have learned about the present tense.

VII. Conclusion (5 minutes)
A. Ask student to summarize the lesson and what they have learned.
